Help! I do not see a reading on the PU Temperature Strip.

If you do not see a temperature reading on the Powdered Urine Temperature Strip it means 1 of 2 things has happen.  It either means that the sample is too hot, or the sample is too cold.  The temperature has to be between 90 to 99, so if you do not see any reading it's either too hot or too cold.  You have to figure out which one it is.  If it's too hot you have to open up the transport vial and blow on the urine or let it cool down on it's own.  If it's too cold you need to find some way to rise the temp up. Many people have just used their own urine in the sample cup and let the temperature rise that way.  And then would pour out the bad urine, and pour in the good urine.  The trace amounts in the cup should not affect the reading and the temperature on the sample cup will not fall fast.  If you are able to do so using a digital thermometer will give you a good idea what where your temperature is.
